GARRY KADWELL IN 2020 RECOGNISED AS A
“HERO OF AUSTRALIAN AGRICULTURE”

Sustainability is a part way process. The far greater goal is “Regenerative Agriculture” which is the means by which farming and grazing practices reverse climate change by rebuilding soil organic matter and restoring degraded soil biodiversity – resulting in both carbon drawdown and improving the water cycle. It is how we relate to and work with “Nature’s Best” to produce “Nature’s Best” potatoes under the name The Gourmet Potato Kadwell.

The “Soils for Life” program in Australia is one of our greatest outcome focused programs, set up under the auspices of the former Governor General retired Major General Michael Jeffrey.

The “Soils for Life” case studies are testament to the determination and tenacity of farmers who are truly agriculture’s “Catalysts for Change”. Their successes have come after years of applying regenerative practices. They are the heroes of Australian agriculture.

2020: Garry Kadwell’s enormous achievements as one of Australia’s agriculture heroes were further recognized this year with the inclusion of his practices at his legendary property “Fairhalt”, on the outskirts of Crookwell just north west of Goulburn on the way to Bathurst in the magnificent Southern Uplands that abut the western edge of the Southern Highlands.
